Beep...
Beep...
Beep...
What was that beeping sound? She found herself sitting on a bench by the see when she oopened her eyes. Was she sleeping there? It was a moonless night. The sound disappeared. Was it her phone needing to be charged? She tried hard but she couldn't locate the phone as usual. Sometime one finds things she lost while sitting just by standing up. She started contemplating standing up maybe in near future. A little old lady was approaching towards the bench she was sitting.
'You'll be fine' she said.
'Where am I?'
The lady smiled at her kindly, like one smiles to a child, avoiding her question. Beep... There ws blinding light followed by darkness again. She momentarily saw the stormy horizon full of pitch black clouds. It was wet and cold. Maybe a fishing town?
'Excuse me. Where are we?'
The lady didn't seem to hear or care. 'Please' she said. Her gesture implied that she wanted to be followed.
'Where are we going?'
'C'mon! You can do it.'
Can I?
Was it time to stand up? Could she get up and follow her? But what else was there to do? She's been siting on that wet bench lost in a cold, dark night. Not a single soul in sight except the nice little lady. She looked back with the soft, smiling face: 'You can do it!' She said with years of experience and wisdom.
All I had to do is to folow her, she thought. Just allow it to be easy.
A blinding light and a lot of noise suddenly...
'Heart rate back to normal' the nurse said: 'she is with us!'
